Yup, its a plain ordinary looking cake. But its the first one A.C. (after class -- one session), and I can tell you, I learned a lot! The edges are much straighter, the top is level and the frosting is smoother. Yeah!
This little guy has been in process for quite a while.
He is one of the new designs DH came up with but we didn't get him finished before we went to Nevada City.
I tested out a new technique on his open mouth, and it came out pretty well....I'll be using it again on some other pieces in the future.
We're going to visit with my mom today for mother's day, so I don't expect to get much done....guess I deserve a day off now and then too!
