yesterday I actually got some work done toward that monthly charity quilt top goal
this stack of random lengths of 3 inch wide blue fabric will become this month's piece
today I should get to start stitching them together
when I was talking to my daughter yesterday she asked me if I would consider making another baby quilt -- another couple that she and her DH know are expecting a baby in January -- this should be fun -- baby quilts (well, except for the one I made for my grandson!) go quickly and are pretty fun to do
as soon as we decide on a theme I can put the DH to work on some drawings
when we were in the store we got a really good deal on strawberries
and since we were out of strawberry jam it seemed like a good thing to make some up
this should hold us a while
one of the best things is the official testing -- fresh strawberry jam spread on a saltine cracker
yum!
next payday I'll be looking for blueberries to do the same thing with
the vest I'm knitting for a friend for Christmas is 75% complete
now that I've done a few rows on the front neckline shaping you can actually see the edge starting to curve -- pretty cool
this piece is actually the last knitting project (other than charity afghan squares) that I have on the sticks, and I'm starting to get antsy about starting the annual knitting for my daughter --- just need to get the yarn and I'm ready to start swatching!
work continues on the Hoffman Challenge piece -- I've almost finished quilting the table cloth section of the piece, which will mean I have only the "window" section left to do
moving along!

Wow. Christmas knitting. I haven't even started to think about it yet.
Strawberry jam!
