working, working

spent some time yesterday working on this piece

it was pointed out to me that I should talk about what the actual challenge is that I'm working on, so here ya go

the challenge for Bead Fest this quarter was to select a Fairy Tale as inspiration

this piece is titled "Snow Queen"

and I can tell already that it's going to be a challenge to photograph too

hmmmm, well, at least I have a few days to work on that too





this piece is proof that responding to those challenges is worth the effort

I was disappointed that it didn't get a lot of votes in the competition, but I got to do a very happy dance yesterday when it SOLD out of my Etsy store

whoot! whoot!



last night I finished the sleeves on the Christmas sweater project --- moving right along there!

today we have appointments to have our eyes checked -- I know I need new lenses, but rather or not I'll actually get them will depend on what the price is --- the exam will be covered by our insurance, but I'm not sure what else will be, and the last pair of glasses cost me over $400 --- something that is just not happening right now -- even with the sale of that piece of jewelry, I just don't have an extra $400!   I'll be shopping around for the best price on the glasses
